IIDA was founded in 1994 as the result of a merger of the Institute of Business Designers (IBD); the International Society of Interior Designers (ISID); and the Council of Federal Interior Designers (CFID). Founded in 1995, the IIDA Southern California Chapter is one of the largest chapters with over 900 members in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. IIDA is the only organization with a proven history and focus on how interior design impacts the bottom line. We support design professionals, industry affiliates, educators, students, firms, and their clients through our network of 15,000+ members across 58 countries.
